In Issue 3, we’re going to play around a little! Our theme for this issue will be “fun and games”. We want to explore: what makes learning fun, games we play or create (whether formal or ad hoc), things we do with technology for the sheer joy of it, and other kinds of playing around. We’d like to see this explored through personal stories, tutorials, and guides to tools and technologies. We’re interested in who gets to play around with technology, when, and why. We’re open to creative approaches including essays, design fiction, comics, and photographic works.
The Recompiler is especially interested in work from people who are part of under-represented groups in technology.
We pay contributors.
We’re looking for original writing, illustrations, and photography on the issue’s themes, as well as other topics related to working with technology, understanding how it fits into society, or exploring our personal experiences.
