In our next issue (#4), we’re going to explore the idea of legacy systems, both technical and social. “Legacy code” can mean anything from code that was written before you joined the project, to something from before you were born. Social legacies are often less explicit, and inherited without much discussion, which makes it even more important that we examine them now. Let’s explore our history in technology, and how it affects what we do today.
The Recompiler is especially interested in work from people who are part of under-represented groups in technology.
We pay contributors.
We’re looking for original writing, illustrations, and photography on the issue’s themes, as well as other topics related to working with technology, understanding how it fits into society, or exploring our personal experiences.
